Save the Dogs and other Animals E.T.S is dedicated to reducing stray populations and improving the lives of dogs and cats, particularly in vulnerable social contexts. Since 2002, the organisation has been active in
Romania, addressing one of Europe’s most complex stray animal challenges, later extending its work to Southern Italy and Milan through sterilisation programmes and support for animals living with low-income or homeless individuals.
Last year, support focuses on “Impronte in famiglia,” a project designed to help rescued dogs overcome trauma and transition more naturally into family life. Within the shelter in Romania, a domestic environment is recreated to familiarise animals with everyday surroundings, easing their path toward adoption. Through this initiative, recovery becomes possible, and the transition from rescue to home gains clarity, stability and care.
