The future is built together – Miomojo x Humana People to People Italy

We are happy to announce a new collaboration that speaks of respect, circularity, and a shared vision.
From today, Miomojo walks alongside Humana People to People Italy, a non-profit organization that has been transforming used clothes into social and environmental value since

THE FUTURE IN A BAG

The collaboration, presented on March 7th at the Humana store on Via De Amicis 45 in Milan, is the result of a deep understanding: two organizations committed to different causes but united by the same desire to build a fairer, more sustainable, and more conscious future.
“We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and building virtuous networks that extend the life of products and generate value for communities,” says Claudia Pievani, CEO of Miomojo. “Through supporting projects against desertification in Botswana and tree planting in Italy, we want to demonstrate that even small acts can contribute to real, deep, and harmonious change.”

RESPONSIBILITY YOU WEAR

In the fashion world, it is still sadly common for unsold items to be discarded or even incinerated, turning waste into missed opportunities. We chose a different path.

We decided to donate accessories from our previous collections—pieces made from recycled and bio-based materials—so they could find new life in HUMANA stores. A gesture that not only prevents unnecessary waste but also generates tangible economic value, which will support two environmental projects we have selected together.

It is not just an act of responsibility. It is a conscious choice that anticipates and interprets the new European ecodesign regulation, which introduces a ban on the destruction of unsold goods in various consumption categories.

For us, every product deserves to have a positive impact, even beyond the point of sale.

PROJECTS THAT LEAVE ROOTS

This initiative helps fund two Humana projects that directly address the climate crisis:
  1. Botswana: Fighting Desertification
Specifically, the project in Botswana supports the Thotayamarula forest ecosystem in Matsheng, where the local community is dedicated to the sustainable harvesting of marula fruits, generating income while protecting the environment. This project is part of the United Nations' Great Green Wall initiative and aims to preserve 192 hectares of indigenous forest, promoting sustainable farming practices and the conservation of natural resources.
  2. Italy: Tree Planting with zeroCO2
In Italy, we collaborate with zeroCO2 to plant 85,000 trees by 2030, an initiative that is part of Humana’s "Dressing the Future in Green" program.

“This collaboration perfectly reflects the values and commitment that define our identity,” concludes Alfio Fontana, Corporate Partnership & CSR Manager at Humana People to People Italy. “We are proud to walk alongside Miomojo on this path.”
