MADE FROM

Apples.

UPPEAL™ is an innovative next-generation, bio-based material developed from apple by-products generated by the food industry. In Northern Italy alone, around 30,000 tons of apple residues, peels, pulp and seeds, are produced every year, materials that would otherwise be discarded or incinerated. Through material innovation, these agricultural remains are recovered, dehydrated and transformed into a fine powder that becomes the foundation of a refined plant-based material. More than an alternative to animal leather, this vegan, animal-free material represents a new expression of contemporary design, where food industry by-products are reimagined as resources for responsible material innovation.

THE SECOND LIFE OF APPLES.

The powder obtained from apple industry by-products is blended with a technical formulation that includes approximately 40% polyurethane and applied onto a durable cotton fabric backing. The material is then heated to achieve a resistant and weather-stable surface. Through embossing processes, refined textures and tactile finishes are created, allowing the material to combine structure with aesthetic clarity.

What once remained agricultural residue becomes a material capable of carrying performance, durability and design value. As a sustainable alternative to both animal leather and conventional synthetic materials, UPPEAL™ maintains the performancerequired for contemporary accessories.

The result is a refined surface where innovation, craftsmanship and responsibility converge in a new expression of luxury.
